Windows is the most widely used desktop operating system on the market, and Windows XP is currently their leading product. Windows Vista is the newly released Microsoft desktop product that is set to take over Windows XP in the coming years. Ubuntu is a Linux desktop operating system that is free to run and install. It comes with a free office suite and can run on both desktops and laptops. The usability is number one in the Linux Desktop world and in many cases, comparable to it rival in the Windows Desktop market. This option has the ability to save a business a large amount of money in licensing and software costs.          

Red Hat have extended their reliable server line of software to introduce a Desktop flavour of the software. It is enterprise ready with applications and support available when required. It is ideal when connecting back to the Red hat or Fedora servers.
